Study in Clay

I  have just completed my second study clay slab.  My niece created the drawing of an Ankh me sometime ago since I love of Ankh’s. (I always wear one).  I decided to render the drawing in a clay study.  I am proud of the way this turned out.  I am excited regarding the new possiblities working with yet another medium!

Update:  Unfortunately, I carved too deeply and parts of this piece broke apart before it could be placed in the kiln.  I will render  it again utilizing airdry clay.
